Tata Curvv

Tata Curvv

Rs. 10.00 - 19.52 Lakh Ex-Showroom price, Mumbai

Positives:

  • It is a 116bhp/260Nm 1.5-litre diesel Kryojet engine with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCA gearbox with paddle shifters. There are drive modes like Eco, City, and Sports.
  • This diesel engine surprisingly starts up in Sports mode and there’s adequate low-end torque which eases city driving necessities.
  • The gears are held on for longer before shifting, resulting in improved engine response.
  • Performance from this engine is effortless as you hit triple-digit speeds quicker than you realise.
  • The Level-2 ADAS functions work well and inspire confidence especially when you miss spotting a tricky situation.
  • The Curvv leans markedly lesser than the Curvv EV when driven fast on curvy roads.
  • Maneuvering this SUV is simple due to the light and reasonably quick steering wheel.
  • Despite the large 18-inch wheels, its ride quality is rather absorbent, even over broken roads.

Negatives:

  • The gears don't shift as smoothly as you'd expect from a DCT gearbox, making overtaking feel less effortless than it should.
  • There’s a noticeable amount of NVH when the transmission does its job of going through the gears.
